hi guys
recently i bought this JVC for nothing (4euro), i think it's hifi, it's a jvc hr-d750s; i've haven't found any free manual on the net, so i f some of you could help,if they got similar models (also on other label), it could be cool. I think the frontal audio/video ins are missing, but there are audio ins on the back ("Entrée"=IN; d and g in french stand for Droite-the right and G for Gauche-the left), but i cannot record from them; there is an AUX button (the zero one) but cannot figure it out; there is a microphone in (frontal) and i can record from there but recording is someway noisy...
there is also a strange button near the record one (see "enr/mm"-means record- and above there is this button"doub son") wich means when on movies you can dub sounds or vocals, but how to use this...?
thanks
ps
also: what are cool cheap vhs models to look for and what cassettes to use?

I don't know anything about pal vcrs

I do know that 99% of all VHS machine require a video signal in order to record audio.

For me, I just need to plug in an RCA into the video (yellow IN) to get the audio to record.

Good luck.

i bought other 2 for almost nothing. they both have audio/video ins on the front, i'll see if they work ok
btw the idea of the scart adapter i suggested isn't bad in my opinion, in case you have vhs recorder half broken or with no audio rca ins etc you could try that way to record audio...

It sounds just like a cassette tape because that's exactly what it is, albeit much wider. Drive the signal hard from the source and the result should be fat and saturated. Drop some good compression in the signal path and you kicks should be the cats pajamas.
