after this little discussion http://sp-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8395 i had today the possibility to buy an sp606 for just 160€ (190usd i think)...but i got no chance with this machine: there were a "midi buffer full" message when i tried the sequencer and the sampling at my house...i reinitialized it, but it were on and off few times...fortunately i bougth it this afternoon at 15 pm o'clock in a used things shop next my house...so now i gave 'em back the sp606 this afternoon at 18 pm o'clock :( ...
maybe it's just a normal thing, but tell me if it is possible to solve this...the sp606 is normally sold here in france at 200/250€, so it's really a good price the 1 i found...
thanx guys

Well all depends on the condition and its functionality. If all those things are good, then yes, at $190 is a good price. Normally they go for $250 mint nowadays. But if it had issues then the one you found was probably priced a bit high.

hi ill
but what this "midi buffer message" means?
i reinitialized the machine because it was blocked when i tried the sequencer...after i turned it off and, when on, there were just the sp606 written, then nothing, then sp606 again, the nothing etcetcetc....maybe if i put a CF with all the factory data and then power it up again it will return as new?
(anyway they gave me my money back so it's ok also like this...)

Ah, that MIDI Buffer Full message means that there's too much data being pass thru the MIDI. Did that showed up when the 606 is connected or unconnected to other gear? Hold the func key and press MIDI Utility, there you can probably fix the problem.

But if nothing was connected at the time then yeah, that SP had a bug. Guy should of sold you the 606 for at least $140. Of course replacing the OS could repair the problem.

that was exactly the trouble: nothing was connceted, and sompetimes when i tried to play a sequence the message was showed or when i tried to make a sequence it was the same...so the machine got bugs (as i thought, damn)...now i erased all the internal data initializing it...i don't know if they can solve the problem as is ehehe...

fortunately 'twas a sort of "used things" shop, not a private vendour, so i immediately retourned back their 606 in the same day and they gave me my money...if i should waited one day more they probably shouldnt gave me money but a sort of "bonus" to spend in their (shitty :) ) shop...
