I don't know, anything pre-2004 would be USB 1.1 I guess.

I would also think it's USB 1.1.

But as you can set the SP-606 as your main Audio device in Windows or Mac without any latency issues, same for usage with the various DAW programs, almost no latency related issues.. I really don't think it matters!

When it comes to sample transfers, from what I recall it's fast. But using your sampler as the main audio device in Windows makes it near-instant!

I don't think it's ever a good idea to transfer really big files anyway, let alone the fact that you'd run out of storage space.

In a way the SP-606 has a balance in this that's just right! I never ran into annoying loading time issues, but I've also never got tempted to import HUGE files either. :)

Smart! I've done a bit of huge file dumping in the past & the SP606 can chug a bit, but that was down to my laziness rather than the machine (who really needs to drop a 63mb WAV into these things?). User familiarity's the most important angle with this sort device rather than USB speed. We're kinda spoiled by how much we can do with computers anyway.

Bring back the days of the MPC60 & SP1200 where you get no USB, floppy disks, 10 seconds sample time & that warm 12bit grit!
