What causes a chopped sample to only be assigned to one pad

if u speak of autochop...what causes is that there is no air or division of sample to chopped...for instance.... the sound of an explosion would be difficult to autochop because it is loud all the way through its like this....(=====================)... where as a good sample to autochop would be like this.... (====)(=====)(==========).... ahhaha i cant even explain this properly ..i hope u know what i mean

in the chop menu tho u get numbers 1-10.... 1 is the most sensitive and therefore u get the most chops out of it..(i think)

you gotta play around with it, sometimes you have to increase the number to get more chops or the certain ones you want. I sure do wish you could adjust end and start points after you auto chop.

the chop function detects transients in the audio wave / or at least its ment to.. let me say right now the chop and bpm sync on the 606 aint that good when compared to some software out there /i find that copying samples to the clipboard then doing the chops is more time consuming but more precise // having said that the sp 606 is a real wicked sounding sampler // you can resample d beam filter perfomance on a sample
