hi
in the sp-303/404 we can erase more than one pad per time performance...until now i didn't find that on the sp-606 manual: if we can erase only one pad performance at time, is not very pratic...; i know that we can erase all total pads performance, but, for example, if we want ONLY erase 2 o 3 pad performance?? we have to listen everytime to the pattern 2 or 3 time? i hope not...

I find the best preventive work around is to use REHEARSAL mode when making patterns- a good 606 habit to get into!

no man you can actually erase any pad performance during recording without affecting other pads, for ex/ you can erase snare without touching hi-hats and so on

hi niq
in the sp-303/404 ther is this feature: when you want to erase sme pad performance in pattern mode you can erase it by pressing DEL when you record the performance and holding the pads you want to erase(during part or all the performance). someone tlle me that this is possible in the sp-505 features. i've tried this also in the sp-606 and it doesn't works. it just erase only one pad peformance at time. it sucks!...and yes, microscope editing is not so precise; well, maybe i have dedicate more time to learn it better.

microscope edit is VERY precise...you can do whatever you want:
delete-move-change pad-velocity...it's not very friendly though...
When you are recording a performance and you don't like something you can hold the erase button to erase the part you don't like or use the undo function.
However, i don't have 303/404 so i can't compare it :)

i have to see better what i can o with. i've tried it one or two times and i had the impression of someting not very useful. it erase everything inside the performance; i just can't understand it well by now. for example, if you want to change a snare(or whatever) position, is it possible to do it? i mean, is it possible do put it precisely where you want?

ok i practiced a little more the miceoscope editing. now it's more clear. the manual is very retricted about this mode, but ok. i know how to delete some pads performance without using realtime rec. the problem was that i didn't switching (and seeing) the whole tracks. i was ever in one tracks so i didn't saw the others...i hope that "create" and "move" parameters will help too in creating patterns.

I was thinking of selling my 505 and getting a 606, but Step editing seems like a pain. What other downgrades should I expect :?
