This is really fun and intuitive. I can't wait to explore more of this:

thnx fo sharing
some years ago i tried teh 606 as interface, it was ok, but the only thing i didnt liked was the fact that if you tried to record one track while listening the other prerecorded on the sft, you end to record the 2, flatten togheter...if you find a trick to undo that let me know please

Cool. Does the 404 also work as an interface.

no! only the 606 and the 555 can be an interface, only two with velocity pads also.

606 has cut-groups though, 4 track on the sequencer and the metronome can be on during resampling.

555 is a 404 that can be a interface plus it has 12 voices, and loop capture.

basically, the 555 is 202 based.
the 606 is 808 based.

sp-808, sp-808ex, sp-505 and sp-606 are all "display models" meaning they all have a wave edit display. they also all have 4 tracks, these are the ones with menu diving.

sp-202, sp-303, sp-404, sp-404sx and sp-555 all have the "Mark button" instead of a display, your supposed to sample with these by ear. and they are one track sequencers.

the 606 and the 555 are both weirdo's in-so-much-as the 555 is a 404sx
that's missing some key features but can be a usb audio and midi
interface.

606 is a 505 missing some features but can also be a be a usb audio and midi interface.

you get the idea.

That was a cool idea how he makes his beats, I do the same but its scattered around the pads.

Yes, the 606 can be a soundcard and sample anything through the USB so you are not limited to Ableton, you can sample ANYTHING hahaha!!
