Hi guys I got a 606 a week ago and so far I'm loving it. I sample all drums and loops from vinyl but heard that the 606 could be used to sample straight off Youtube via usb. I have tried for a few days now to set it up with no luck and yes I've read the manual lol. I'm running mac os 10.5.8, i can drag samples via usb but can't work out how to use it as a sound card to sample things off the net. I'm new to this beat making thing and would appreciate any help or advice. cheers.

If all else fails use an audio cable. You can't go wrong with old tech.

Yes you can use your 606 as an audio interface and record directly into the pc and then transfer those audio files to the 606 I believe. I just upgraded my pc and have not tried this yet but I believe that is how it works.

Just hook up the USB plug and hit the EXT button and when you sample, select EXT SAMPLING which is the 3rd option when you hit sample. Then hit Ext Source pad to hear the audio passing through. Simple as 1+1=3
