I would contact Roland and ask them directly, there have been some people here that got it send to them.

If all fails let me know.

Actually, you can download the program!

Check out this page here:

http://www.roland.co.uk/prod_room_catdet.asp?id=SP606

Or when you're feeling lazy here's the direct download link:
ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/productsupport/a ... ftware.zip

Enjoy!

Also don't forget to download from cakewalk a patch for the p606...
There is also a way for realtime audio recording from p606 to another program such us ableton or sonar in digital mode...it's simple but i can't remember it since i don't use computer for a long time...
...I will post it within this week!

Damn!!! I just wasted my money on cakewalk Kinetic 2. I looked all over for that p606 software and could not find it. I also emailed and called Roland about it and They couldn't point me in the right direction. Someone told me to buy Kinetic 2 and it would sink with the SP-606 but it wouldn't work for me. Plus, every time play any sounds in kinetic it makes a lot of popping sounds.

Thanks man!!! I am downloading it now!!! :D

If you get popping sounds in your DAW you might need to adjust the latency inside the audio settings somewhere.

DAW means Digital Audio Workstation and in simple words its the software you use (like Ableton Sonar Cubase Ardour Rosegarden...)for writing music

You should avoid Vista...if possible use Xp_sp3...

To use P606 with another DAW choose the 606's WDM driver in P606 ,and the 606's Asio driver in the audio preferences on the other program...I can't remember if u have to connect the Digital in-outs of the sp606 to make it work but everything i played in P606 was in realtime recorded Ableton....

What exactly isn't working? Did you try the P606 software and does it work without issues?

Yeah, I couldn't upload to zshare either, sorry for that. I would have, but I ran into troubles downloading and uploading the program as well.

When I bring up the program I get two messages. one says,

An error occurred while connecting to the hardware device. Please check your device connections. p606 will close.

The other says,

DirectSound SetCooperativeLevel failed (80070057)
Your soundcard may already be in use by another application or the system system sounds,
or you may need to adjust a setting on the sound card's panel.

You're probably running into the same USB issue I had.

Take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?t=2125

The part about the USB connections and so on will interest you the most, as for me that was exactly the solution to this problem.

Of course, installing the drivers again is what you should try first, but in my case I totally had the 'maximum of 10 usb devices' issue.

This happens when you set your SP as your Audio Interface (think Sound Card). When using P606, you'll have to use your normal sound card of your PC.
