i've had the 606 for a few days, dig it but the chopping is incredibly slow IMO. i've had a 303 and 505 before this and its WAY slower. looking for tips on speeding up the process.

Hey dude, having never used the 303 or 505 I can't compare workflows but I can vauch for the 606's chopping being reasonably quick & accurate. Keep at it, chances are you're just learning the workflow. Once you're there you'll be chopping like a fiend on the 606.

Try using the left/right arrows to zoom in/out of the sample's waveform & using the jog wheel to move the start/end points of the sample.

If you want to chop fast, try Teewok's method of copying a sample across multiple pads, all set to the same mute group & only adjust the start point of the sample. Only truncate when you could be bothered.
