Hi

Hope someone can help me here - recently, something happened with the memory card in my SP606, and since then, it does not recognise the card. I have not removed the card at all (by then). When I use the "USB Mass Storage" mode, the PC recognises the sampler's internal memory.

After that, I tried to format the card, but then I got the "Card Ejected" error message - in the manual, there's no assistance provided for that issue, only that this is caused as the card removed w/o the shutdown procedure - which is actually not the case.

Are there any way I could still re-instate the existing memory card, or shall I start looking for a new one?

Thanks

The samplers memory is not accessible via USB, simply because it functions as a usb cf card reader. Try and enter mass storage mode without a card and you will see.

Do you have a cf card reader on your pc? If so, check the card's contents and save it to your pc if you wish to preserve your samples. Then format the card on the PC, and then try formatting on the sp.

It is also possible that your sp is damaged. Try another card if available. If the same thing happens, it may be the sp...

Unfortunately, I do not have a card reader in the PC (maybe one of my friends has one) - also unfortunately no other card is available.

it seems that the only problem is with the card - I can use the SP itself, with the internal memory and the first 8 banks. otherwise, if the card is in, it recognises it, but if I go to any other pad banks after 8, no sound is played back - or randomly sounds from the internal memory sometimes.

in the mass storage mode, it recognises the card, but with 0 Mb capacity, and 0 mb free - I cant open it in the pc, cant format it, cant do anything with it.

so in the end, it seems that the "best" solution can be if I try to format the card using the card reader, and hope that it will fix the problem :?
