I got a reader. put the SM card into it(after formatting it in the 505), and saw a folder called Roland, within which is a folder SP1, within which is a file SMPINFO0.SP1. I want to add some samples from my hard drive. They just go in the SP1 folder, right? in any order I want to put them?

Hi!
put the wav samples directly into the main space of the sm, the sp use the folders for its own format files.

Danke! Is it true that I can only put 150 samples total on the card no matter how much storage it has, due to the file system it uses? I read that on sonicstate.com.

Sup!
I was having fun and found that I didn't like the sounds in a lot of the drum banks. i made my own in FL and saved it as a wav (16bit).
Couldn't see em.
Now I am wondering if I have a 5v card instead of a 3.3v.

Will the machine work with a 5v Card? I formatted them correctly from the machine but cannot see the files on the root of the card. Could it be the card or the reader.

no.
hope you don't have one of this.
anyway that's my 2 euros experience: i have one 64mb (3.3 volts) wich let me use it to work with internal functions (in other words let me sample via the 505) but when i try to load .wav samples i cannot do it (it says the disk has to be formatted or the space is full etc)...
