Zup everyone, I just want to say hi... I'm new on the 505 (I just copped a used one on Ebay for $65 w/128MB card included) but not new on production, I've being producing since 2003, started with software until the 2007 when I copped my first MPC and a couple years ago I was introduced to the SP world, so I decided to buy the 303 basically because I was impressed for how a so simple machine can do all that with that high quality and warm sound, besides that I'm a fan of DOOM and Madlib work, so I said let's give it a chance... I've being working with the 303 producing beats and I'm very happy that I bought that machine, I learned a lot with the 303, specially how to chop "blind" because with the 303 you don't have any kind of display to see the wave form of sounds, so I learned how to select my chops before I chopped the sounds, etc... lots of stuff... but I found a good opportunity to sell it for almost the double that I pay for it so I do it... I need to say I loved that machine, but a couple days after I sold it I found this 505 and I give it a change... even I loved my 303 I don't missed it anymore... the 505 it's the shit! It has all the features that the 303 were missing with the same warm sound that the 303 has... so I'm more than happy with this one, I only used the 303 and the 505 but as far I can see on the videos the 404 and others do not have the characteristics that I like on the 505... so, with that being said... I just want to say... Happy New Years SP fam!!
Peace.

PS: I will be posting some pics about how to fix the RCA outputs and also what to do when your internal board is cracked! I fix mine it was very easy! peace

Yeah bro, I remember you, I don't have more of those stands anymore, only the one that I use for my 1K... I think you PM on mpc-forums tho, thanks a lot for the welcome, I need to agree with you... this is a slept on machine, people should give it a try it's IMO much better than the 303...
Happy new year bro and thanks again!
Peace

Yeah, the 505 is great machine, had one from 2003 to 2009. Does mostly everything a MPC1000 can do but in a lo-fi dirt poor manner. 303 is no different too. 505 is that type of sampler where mistakes are a good thing and can lead to uncharted areas
