ok so i finally got my 505
i'm experiencing an issue
when i try to record a pattern
i hit the pad the sample is loaded on and it records hella slow
the bpm is really off, it sounds like it's been stretched
and it isn't matching the bpm that i set it to

any ideas on how i can fix this?

I believe the sample's bpm is more than the pattern's bpm. For example, if the sample is 124bpm and the pattern is at 80bpm, then automatically the sample will be dropped to 80bpm because samples are slaves to patterns.

However, if you want the sample to remain as is, then you'll have to set the sample as a One Shot. :D

click wave edit, scroll down, change "phrase" to "single" and you'll have the sample triggered without being stretched to the pattern's BPM.

word em right up, mans.

keep in mind when you chop stuff up, or sample stuff in, it often just defaults to 'phrase'.

BUT, you can hit wave edit & scroll down then hit a pad, and you can see whether it is 'phrase' or 'single'. you can then hit pad after pad, changing them to 'single' or 'phrase'.

this way ^^ you can sample a bunch of shit, then go in and change it all to whatever in one go, rather than doing each one, one-by-one.

peace.
