What's up?
Just got a 505 here. One of the reasons I bought this, other than sampling, was to have some basic 808 drums to trigger. I was expecting to hear low, mid, and high tom sounds but there's only one. What's the best way to expand/tweak the preset drum sounds?
Been making beats on software for years so this is all new to me. Any help is appreciated.

hi
maybe compression+resampling lofi+resampling lo fi+resampling lo fi etc
or
isolator+lofi+resampling lo fi etc
layering layering
or
pitch function:try this on the sp505 with fx (isolator, compression etc)
peace

yeah, if yr looking for low-mid-high, you could try the pitch bank.

yr best bet, IMO, is just to get 12 or so sounds from an 808 (goldbaby may be a good place to loo  ) and put them into yr non-card banks. that way you have 'em with any card you use.

good luck. welcome to the forums!

Thanks man that goldbaby site has some nice drums.
So I guess you can't resample any of the preset drums. Oh well.
Is sampling the best way to put a drum kit on there?

Loving the 505 by the way. Beatmaking is fun again. Still yet to complete a full beat that's up to my standards. But hopefully I'll get there soon.

yuo can resample the preset drums, just try to do it clip-boarding them to another bank and there you go. if clip-board doesn't work (i remember it works, but who knows..), resample them to another bank: the 505 allows you to go from banks to banks to do that...
cheers
