for many months i still don't understand well the 505 pitch...i still use sample like phrases (so every sample follows the patterns tempo), but when i put sample to single i'm not be able to change the pitch of the sample...maybe this is not possible.

has noone a little trick about the pitch of samples?
it sounds stupid to create 12 samples to have a "melodic bank", that quite always sounds awful...
so instead of using the pitch function I sample 12 note from my synth to have a good sounding pitched instrument...
in the end you have a lot of function, effects etc and the pitch is missing...what kind of sampler is this?
you could use only one sample pitched on 12 pads as on the mpc , for example, to play riff, less memory involved and better results.
