New user here from MPC forums and please forgive me for the redundant question.

I transfer WAV samples from my computer to a SM card and then load those sounds into the 505. I then EQ those sounds IN the 505 and sample into the 2kxl.

My problem is, having to load the files individually into the 505 takes some time. But I am reading that you can actually play these files on the card without having to load them?

I thought this was only possible if you sampled WITH the 505 and chose to save the sample in a card bank. I am doing no sampling INTO the 505. I just load samples into the card and then load them into the 505.

How can I possibly play WAV samples on the cards without having to load them?

hi,

there is no way you can do this. either you sample straight into the 505 (from 2000xl or whatever you use as the main sampling unit) so that it is in native 505's format and occupies a pad in sample bank or you transfer the WAV file onto the card and use the system > load wav file to convert the wav to 505 own sample format and load it.

hope this helps,
olby
