...of transfering samples from one bank to another without having to use the clipboard for each sample.
I mean, it takes ages! And you could lose a sample if you're in a hurry.
I use the pitch function a lot 'cause i love the way it fucks up the original sample and i get really cool synth sounds, but the whole transfering thing is a real pain...

yes, that's the dope thing, you can clipboard up to 16 samples at time. 8)

i suggest you to search in the sp-505 tips and tricks, sometimes you can find many answers to your troubles with the 505 beast.
peace

the whole process also moves a lot faster if you have a smaller memory card... 16-32MBs. The 128MB cards take forever.

also too, someone (sorry, can't remember who) just posted a trick tip w/ the 505 where you just back-up your chop bank, then open it with a blank bank. in this way you get all pads of material w/out having to use the clip board.

look in 505 tricks and tips for the full explanation.

otherwise, yeah, STACK yr clipboard!

The problem is that I bought it from ebay and I have the manual in french, my knowledge of which is restricted to "bonjour monsieur" and "parle vous france", whicn weren't of any help :( .

I tried to stack the clipboard with all 16 samples but when i tried to assign them to another bank, only the last sample was loaded.

What's that tiny little detail I am losing here?
Thank you for your time and patience :)

watch Olbys tutorials on youtube... he goes over using the clipboard function.

Otherwise just do this..

press pad to copy>>then press clipboard>>repeat with all pads you want to copy.

The reason it may seem like it only copied the last one, is because when you press clipboard after copying all the pads you want, it will only play the last pad you copied.

it stacks the copied pads up. So for instance if you press clipboard and delete, it will delete the last pad you copied (or rather whatever is "on top" of the "stack").

You can then take all those copied samples to another bank... and then by pressing clipboard and an empty pad, it copies them one by one, going down the "stack" until you get to whatever pad you copied first.

its.. REALLY easy..

Le manual est en Anglais aussi, disponible par le site de Roland.
