I was just wondering how to use the chop banks while doing a pattern on the sequencer. I can play the chops, but it won't save what I play on the actual pattern.

Thanks

you cannot record from the chop banks, you have to move the chops to another bank using the clipboard and then you can record 'em.

How exactly do you do that?

I've looked through the manual, but I can't really find/understand how to do this.

hit the pad with sample (chop bank), hit clip board, go to a different pad bank (5-12 internal, 17-32 memory card). next, hit clip board, hit an empty pad, watch the screen bc it will say now busy or something like that. when that is done you program those samples, from the new location of course.

what jbl said.

It's pretty easy, but shoot some more questions if you are having anymore trouble.

yup, just stack 'em up on clipboard, dump them to a blank bank. very easy.

no dude, you stack them up one at a time. take a sample in the chop bank, add it to clip board, take the next sample, add it to clip board also. keep doing this. then, scroll to a clean bank, take each sample from the clip board, and assign it to a pad.

this is aaaaaall in the manual. seriously.

what's great about the sp-series is you really don't need the manual all that much. but you have to use that beast

trial and error. try it, you won't break it even if you can't do it.
