For £169 off eBay after losing a bid on 303 ( which eventually went to $285, someone must've really wanted it) and it should be coming sometime this week. Looking forward to playing with it.

you should enjoy it!
It's a great sampler and real fun to work with. The 505's biggest flaw is that it can be slow but other than that,it has mad features like the Chop and Pitch Function along with the FX,so I'm not complaining

dope!

you will enjoy it once you start to get the hang of it.

all the help i've had here has helped me out greatly so ask questions. Most of the cats on this site are pretty knowledgeable and are willing to help out.

I've messed with this thing for a week or so. And just over the weekend things started to click. I've made a few beats, two of which I am very proud of (still figuring out a few patterns and sequencing).

stick with it, things fall in place in time.

uno!

If I remember what Olby said, I think the is a way to edit the individual chops after the autochop. Look at some of the older posts in the 505 section and then click on his name and send him a private message. He made a few videos of how he makes a beat, dudes ill with the 505.

thats because you have the samples set on "phrase" instead of "single"

"Phrase" time stretches the sample so that it matches the pattern bpm.

if you change it to "single" the bpm of the sample will not match the pattern so you have to do some adjusting.

this is something I am still in the process of learning... bah. :D

have fun

I have to be patient and wait about 6-7 weeks until mine is in my hand, but this is going to be alot of fun to work with.
