^Might cost me a bit, since I'm in australia

also I think the reason some arent showing up as available to me, is because searches only show items where they are willing to ship to australia if they're overseas.. and it seems nobody can be bothered.

Just get a 606 - they are around 400 on ebay now, and can do everything the 505 can do plus more.

As far as I'm aware it's only the 32 part chopper that the 505 has that the 606 doesn't... and that's not really hard to workaround.

[don't get upset my 505 friends - I'm only making the suggestion because a 505 is obviously hard to get here, and the 606 is a good alternative if you can't get a 505!]

The pitch banks, like the MPC, are actually not that useful imo (even though they are a lot of fun) - they never seem to be quite in tune, especially when you try to layer them with other sounds. Kinda defeats the purpose. The 606 does its pitching with the P606 software, which does a nice, in tune, job.

Anyway this is not MPC forums and definitely NOT a 'versus' thread, so lets not go that route (he says looking back at what he just wrote.... sorry - we all love our boxes sooooo much don't we?)

Hey mate,
I'm in Sydney - and am thinking of selling my sp-505. Not sure how much they are going for lately though.
Good condition, box, manuals, etc.

Although trying to find a toy to replace it with first.. maybe an sp-606, or even an MPC.... hmmmm....
