im not familiar with midi. how would i midi up my 555 to this 505 i just got? and what could that do for me? thanks!

i don't know much about midi on 555, but what you can do is for sure to try to sync the 2 machines (with midi); if the 555 sends midi notes you can try also to trigger samples to the 505 (for examples you can trigger the pitched ones); but, when it come on midi thing, the 505 seems a real pain in the a**...i think you can trigger notes to it but not every bank...

The manuals - read them :mrgreen:
5 dollar midi cable 505 as master, 555 slave

Keep in mind the 555 usually receives on channel 1 & 2.

right on. i need to get in that habit more. i especially need a pa. playing this shit through my roland amp doesnt help.haha.
