I sampled some golgo13 back in the day. Dope soundtrack! I'm also a big fan of lupin III and the OG gundam wing. Trigun, outlawstar are some classics too. I used to be into this one Anime I want to say it was only one letter like "D", but it was set in this post apocalyptic world and the main character was always tryin to be assassinated by peeps. He wore a dark colored hat and had this mechanical orb thingy as a side kick. Also there was a female assassin that joined his forces too. Is this ringing a bell to anybody? Anyway, been out of the Anime loop for a bit, glad to see some new stuff to check out.

I'm with Dibia$e on the classic anime. The past 3 years I haven't been feeling anime, most of the action ones contain more drama and scientifical explanations that I fall asleep through the mountainous dialog that makes no sense. And every character seems to play dress-up and getting their hair done perfectly before a battle. Dragonball Z is cool but I get pissed when Goku takes an entire episode just to power-up and everyone is just talking about how powerful he is and the villian just stands there waiting til Goku is ready, thats like someone smacked your mother and you just get mad standing there and the next day you finally beat the dude.

Sorry for the rant but anime don't got me like that anymore. But the comical chibi cartoons is what I'm into nowadays, can't name them at the moment but they're like Mad magazine type of flicks.

Peace

@Formal.... ui wish i knew what anime that was... it sounds really familiar...

@ ILL there are still some dope ones but they are really hard to find and most of the B.S out there is what it is... pure B.S  nah but just like hip hops current state, most anime is now being aimed at the youth... i hate it but if you get the chance... and you love zombies... watch this....

http://www.watchanimeon.com/high-school ... episode-1/

its only 12 eps and the manga is still running... but its mad action and the long winded explanations are cut the fuck short, lol...

aw man, I'm to obsessed with anime lol I haven't been watching too much lately, just whatever comes on Fuji TV (streamed from my laptop). Ranma 1/2 is the most recent series I've finished though. Before that it was Ergo Proxy and Elfen Lied. Those were both pretty dope

I was bang into anime back in the day, sort of mid to late 90s. Channel 4(UK) used to show them at like 4am on weekendsn i used to stay awake n sneak down stairs to watch em (i was only 12 at the time). What drew me to them was they were cartoons but they had swearing and gore and tits in em n cartoons weren't supposed to have that stuff in.

Some of my faves are: Gunsmith cats (the first one esp)
Ninja Scrolls
Fist of the North Star
Appleseed
Cyber City odeo (part 2 is probs my fave anime ever
AD Police
Genocyber
Guyver bio booster rmour
Devil Man
Wicked City
Battle Angel alita
3x3 eyes
Urotsukidoji

I've tried watching newer animes but i can never get into em

and golgo 13 is quality too, anyone seen the live action one with sonny cheeba in? also quality.

anybody read or watch One Piece? it's the most popular ever here in Japan. I don't read it though. I don't have much time for Anime and Manga these days, oh well.

yo jbl I actually just recently started picking up on One Piece. I had watched the english version earlier in life and didn't get sucked into it, but then in the last few months I started watching the Japanese version on watchop.com and I've been hooked since. On episode 200 with 290+ to go haha. It's really good though, the character development and traits are awesome. Check it out if you've got the time, but it might last you forever hahaha

I just watched the new Precure all stars movie at the theatre with my three year old daughter. An hour and half fight scene between several different (sailor moon type) girl heroes and the black hole that wants the crystal flower or something like that. she got a paper hat, game card and a miracle light. Near the end of the movie we had to use the miracle light to help save the Earth.
So this was a quite timely theme bc the whole world was at peril. Just weird. I saw a Naruto big screen as well. The precure was way more fun from a interactive child's point of view. Oh and precure was scarier too. Tell you what stinks. it's twenty seven dollars for the two of us and she's the only one that gets a miracle light. where's the adult miracle light? Bummer.
But for real, these 'kids' anime are fun to see at the theatre.

side note does anybody read the Naruto manga? if so what did I miss the last two chapters? I can't find them anywhere.

People are going to get the wrong idea. Btw did you know Anpanman has more characters than any other cartoon in Japan?
