Yo... think about this from a different angle. Think about when you were a kid. That opens the question up a bit.

How bout Labyrinth and Never Ending Story... Time Bandits (Directed by the same dude who did Brazil, Terry Gilliam)... The Last Unicorn... and Legend. I'd be down to watch any of these movies to this day. Some dope, mind altering stuff.

No doubt. How bout The Dark Crystal?! That movie was so dark for a kids film. The puppetry was bad ass.

yo .. Ghost Bazz .. not seen that Dark Crystal .. Return To Oz had some horrific visuals for a kids film .. so suprised the direction it took when you compare it to Wizard Of Oz .

Dark Crystal though .. looks an interesting watch

.

oh yea .. Waking Life .. a good phylosophical endulgance with etchy imagery

Return to Oz was great! Very dark. Loved that movie.

It took movies from entertainment to art, guess I never realized that till I’d seen the dude. Also white Russians are with creamer, a caucasian is with milk.

That movie is all about life perspective. Love it! Definitely a classic. I’d put it right up there w Pulp Fiction, which is another title that might make our discussion.

I think Lebowski & Pulp Fiction r great movies because u can experience them on many different levels. There is the topical stuff that makes for a great movie, but there is a lot of philosophical stuff that comes into play when you begin to look deeper at the character profiles and the way they deal w different situations.

It's funny how many hip hop cats know this movie by seeing Belly. Then it's amazing no one has really seen this movie. Twisted ass film.

Some awesome movies. I miss those days. Ninja turtles in 100 pound rubber latex suits. When they had to build props and robotics to move them. Some CGI still looks so fake it's stupid. The Last Star Fighter was a cheesy but good movie from that time. It got deep towards the end.

I'm a sucker for cyberpunk genre or any post-apocalypse scifi.
Blade Runner
Blade Runner 2049 (Just watched this, good follow up)
Akira (Not big on anime, but this flick blew my mind back in the day)
Ghost In The Shell (OG, haven't seen the new one)
Johnny Mnemonic (Cheesy 'ol Keeano)
The Matrix (Should have only been the 1st movie, didn't need a trilogy)
Total Recall (OG, my childhood was ruined when Arnold popped outta that fat lady)
Mr. Robot (Badass series, we can't be friends if your not watching it  )

All the Planet Of The Apes movies.

Thrillers:
They Live (You gotta watch this cheesy movie once in your life. More trippy in 2018, than when it was made)
The Taking Of Debra Logan (Watch this B movie on Netflix, scared the shit outta me)

I've actually never heard of Belly but I'll have to check it out, I'm just a fan of Harmony Korine and found gummo after seeing kids (which is also a pretty cool film) I'm glad someone else here has seen it

Aw shit! Belly is a classic. 1998. Nas, DMX, Method Man, one of the chicks from TLC... drugs, organized crime. Great cinematography. Dope soundtrack too. There is a scene where they are watching Gummo. The "F'ing rabbit!" scene. Check it out. Yeah, I used to show Gummo to girlfriends and they were like, "WTF is wrong with you?!" Kids is twisted too.
