Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation album also contains SP1200 usage.
Stardust's music sounds better with you and Daft Punk's discovery also uses the SP1200.

none of the actual special herbs used any mpc60 or sp1200 only the SPECIAL volume 0 that was only included in the box set which is actually the instrumentals from the old KMD group with DJ Subroc who co produced the beats. they used one of the two samplers i'm not sure which

other than that i'm almost 100% sure the entirety of special herbs used an mpc2000xl

the production timing of the early herbs is very suspect . which leads me to believe it ws produced minus any quantize feature

.

if you know the exact facts .. fairplay ..

i mean you always quantize when you make beats, you gotta lock in the loops to the sequencer you know? but i'm not sure what kind of quantizing you're referring to. but yeah i'm fucking obsessed with daniel dumile so (x

OH i'm also extremely fucking pissed doom decided to take down his main website. he used to have a chart of every single special herb and what song it sampled.

^ yes in regard with tempo . plus some of the sequencing has no sort of snap to it .

i think Doom took the site down to avoid people sampling the same ish .. plus dodging lawsuits from the original source musicians. no point sample snitching on yourself . todays generation out their sources instead of keeping it close guarded ..

i do this all the time on my 303, even though it has a sequencer that can quantize, you can ignore the metronome altogether (turn it off) and just make a pattern in whatever way you want, and switch to another pattern that is on beat, you know?
