so i got my 404 used a couple weeks back, and some of the pads on the left are pretty dull and unresponsive. i came across this video while looking for sp stuff on youtube and was wondering if any of you had tried to do this and what the process was like.

im really suprised there is no 3rd party replacement pads (correct me if im wrong)

if roland/boss create a new sp .. it needs soft pad tbh

. Good luck with resolving the pad replacement

Ask Mike at mpcstuff.com if there's any demand for them. He would be the first to make them if the demand is there.

i used this stuff "Caikote" on my 2 404s' pads. It made all of the pads responsive like new on one unit (still working perfectly now a year later).... the other unit became even less responsive because i don't think i left it to dry long enough and it bled from pad to pad... but if you follow the directions exactly like i did the first time it'll work.. cheaper than new pads

thanks for the replies everyone. i just wanted to know if this was something that was commonly done, but you guys seem to be pretty well versed in it. i'll probably end up ordering some new pads pretty soon, thanks again.
