i heard a sound at the end of mine that reminded me of the Nintendo Game 'Excite Bike' so I sampled the game. Was originally just going to use the sample for the intro and/or outro but it mixed with part of the beat too well to pass up, even though it didn't seem to make sense with the kung fu samples. But then i realized that it does make sense, in this way.. I called the track Mantis Fingers, after the Mantis Fist fighting style, substituting 'fingers' of course because thats how i hit the buttons. And what were some of the first buttons i ever pushed? Those OG Nintendo controller buttons! Playing video games as a kid kind of trained us to rock SPs, i think. All about tuning in and pressing the right buttons at the right time. Its a damn shame that video games are so widely abused these days. I know way too many people who devote nearly all of their free time to it, and i find it really frustrating and depressing, probably because i have some regret about the time i've wasted playing.
