Can someone suggest a good (that means free) program to convert mp3 to wav format?
My desktop is down so I have to use the junky ol' laptop.

I use CDex; its quite good. Its not only free but open source.

I was not able to DL audacity for some reason.
Actually, its because I dont know how to adjust my download manager; :? The audacity site said to turn off auto DL but Im not that smart.



I did get CDex to work perfect but I cant find the folder with the converted sample. :oops:

Turntables are much easier for me...no computer to argue with.

iTunes can do it as well.

I'm sure you know that there is no way to magically bring back the fidelity from mp3 to WAV- it simply 'smashes' the audio into the WAV format.
Kinda like taking a high-rez digital pic of a photcopy.

So is there another way thats better?
Route computer though mixer with firewire capabilities and just sample directly? maybe? I was looking at this anyway

I figured but Im bad about remembering or refinding that damn file. I have to be REAL specific cuz I get blazed and just start clickin shit then I spend a month of sundays trying to find that shit again.
