Aite' I'm always interested in new music and artists.
I thought we should make a thread with cd/lp recommendations.

Suggest everything you want!

My suggestions:

-Killah Priest - Heavy Mental
One of the greatest hip hop albums ever. That shit is really dope, not only for wu-tang fans!

-Yesterdays universe/sound directions/Otis Jr. Trio and all of the other names
As a jazz and madlib fan, I just love it. Really dope music and it gives you mad chills.

ODB - Return to the chambers
It's just raw

that's a great list Frantic, all of those joints are essential

I've had Ice Cube's Death Certificate in heavy rotation lately. the rhymes on here are savage, very confrontational and political. the beats are nice as hell, they don't make 'em like this anymore...p-funk basslines, heavy drums...it's great

KAIN "The Blue Guerilla"
and
The Last Poets "This Is Madness"
Both of these records were essential to foundation of hip hop, being some of the first records to be mass produced that showcased spoken word or rap over syncopated and looping drums with jazz instruments.
