It's not exactly new, but it was something I finally got out of the pawn shop that I haven't been able to use in about a year and a half. I almost lost it entirely, but I manage to throw some money at it and then finally pay it off yesterday. I love the delays you can get with this thing, the flange is okay, I don't go too crazy with the distortion, and the tremolo I use sparingly. But I've missed this thing, and since my AkaiS20 doesn't have any effects, THIS will remedy that for the time being. I can't decide if I want to use the effects BEFORE I sample, or after. Either way, I plan to rack this up and have some fun with it once again.

These are the shit. I got all 3 for $99 each when Electrix went out of biz. You can make loops with the delay and MIDI sync is awesome. If you are using a mixer try putting it in an aux and return it on a channel instead of the return. I used to have a mixer w 6aux and I had Mo-Fx, Warp Factory and Filter Factory all set up. The coolest was putting formant and carrier of Warp Factory (vocoder) each on their own aux and you could make anything source or carrier- anyway I could go on and on- love the Electrix stuff. Have fun!

I tried and tried to like the WarpFactory, but it's not really the best vocoder out there. It just makes you sound like you got a bad cold. I've never tried the filter factory/queen/freq killer-booster, but I'd love to try those or look for them at a decent price if they come on my radar. But yeah, I love the Mofx, and I might want to get a 2nd one. I could seriously do some crazy dub effects if I had 2. If I ever cross paths with a Warpfactory, it'd have to be insanely cheap for me to even consider it. I just never cared for the sound of it. It can't even pull off a decent Battlestar Psylon, or a funky Roger+Zapp!!!

I'm didn't explain clearly. I never used it with my voice! :) If you can set any sound to be the formant and any other sound to be the carrier it gets VERY interesting very fast.
Say you had a drum track on your SP and a synth track on your Akai and they were synced up (or not). You could do the obvious and make the synth the carrier and the drums the formant. So you hear the synth when each drum hit occurs. But you could do the reverse and make the synth the formant and the drums the carrier- then you hear the drums only when the synth is active. You could have 1 drum machine affecting another, or the same drum track affect itself put a delay on one- endless. It is hard to explain- I will have to hook mine up actually in my new no-computer studio and play with it again. It was so much easier when I had a ton of aux and channels to return stuff on. I have the FF and 2 EQ killers and a Repeater. Using an EQ killer for phono preamp. This was my old studio over 10 years ago with the big mixer- you can see all the aux labeled on the left- I could make anything on any channel be the formant or carrier:

This was a very fun setup- I did a lot of live mixes that are on my website. Everything was hooked up w MIDI and into mixer w all those auxes. I used MiniDisc too back then- hah! http://www.cliffordnovey.com/ArtandSoun ... Audio.html

@Om_audio
Man i have an RS7000, i would like to ask you basic workflow one of these days if you don't mind. It's here since some months, but with summer holydays i didn't used it. It has a button wich doesn't work, the one wich its function is to enable remix.
Thanx

@ellaguru sure man I would be happy to help you with the RS7000. You gotta get that button fixed though, Loop Remix is wicked cool on both sliced audio and MIDI.

SU10 looks cool, +1 on the sample speed/true pitch ability question.

My new Nakamichi 500 cassette player is working better and if I can balance out the channels I will be in business. I also got my external battery for 555, 404, etc. but sadly I just discovered the 505 is 14v and will not work with it. Darn!

Yes the su10 got real pitch, but, as for on the sp202 when you pitcha sample you apply pitch to all the others...old school days...

The SU10 ribbon controller looks sick for a non-scratching fool like me!
Not seeing any on Ebay or CL though- :/

Fix that button! that is the thing i miss most about the RS7000, was great on drum parts....also the FX (maybe some sort of compression + drive?) was really nice for lofi stuff...I didn't even really dig into it as a sampler much beyond drum hits
