first of all, greets! i'm a noise/dub musician from ann arbor with a taste for cross media. i rely mainly on my 303 and feedback loops through a boss dd-6. most of my shit is recorded onto cassette, as i'm not exactly a studio perfectionist- i'll transfer and cancel out some media soon.

my question is, does anyone have any ideas to queue/sample video files the same way the 303 samples audio? i've heard rumors that ableton live 7 has a video sync feature... looking for the cheapest way possible (any freeware out there?)

also, i have a huge collection of obscure psych to build samples around if anyone wants to trade files. looking for the psychedelic underground comps.

I might be down to trade, as for finding something to sync video and audio for free I doubt that it would do it well. It also depends in if you just want to sync video and audio or if you want to be able to do this live. If you want to do it live I know Roland makes a dj like mixer for sound and video and it looks pretty dope but I'm sure if you check the net you'll find other machines that will do this. If you just want to put audio with your video I suggest Adobe Premiere for PC or Final Cut for Mac.

That thing is "V-LINK" compatible, which means if you use it with a 555 or 606 it'll sync up automatically!!

i think its around $300 thats a pretty good price considering that some professional movie editing software like final cut pro is over $1000. i've been looking for something like this for a very long time, i'm so glad slightlyhelpful brought it up. i'm a film major and this just breaks the rules of everything they teach me in school. live editing of video, i could play my sp 303 and this at the same time its so sick.

If you guys ever manage to start doing such a pirate tv station let me know and perhaps I can host a website so people can stream it too. Perhaps ads and so on could cover the costs (nothing too annoying off course).
