I just got a bonus from my job and also getting a good amount of tax money back so I'm spoiling myself with a few new toys, among them an sp 303. It should be here by Monday. I have a grip samplers but the only sp's I have are the 202 and the 606. What should or shouldn't I expect from my new purchase? I know this is kind of a common question in here and I think I got an idea of what to expect but what the hell, I'm a lil' excited to learn yet another sampler.

It's just a sampler don't expect it to do anything you can't do yourself.

^well yeah of course, I was mainly wondering shit like, how is the sequencers timing, or what not. I guess I'm a little amped about it like a 7 year old waiting for his birthday a few days away. I get like that from time to time like when I bought my asr-x.

I believe the timing is the same as the sp-404 but it doesn't have 32nd note quantize. It also corrects your playing in real time when you record, but all you have to do is take the quantize off. I'm sure you'll have fun with it if you like the 404.

i think the 16s and 8ths sound better on 303 then anything else,
at first its gonna be hella wierd and you might not like the quantinize at
first but its wicked, i gotta get a couple more 303s before they all gone.
