it's weird that an internet forum can change your perception on making music so much. before i found this place i was convinced of having a fully fledged music dedicated PC running PRO TOOLs and a hardware setup involving an MPC was the only way to go. i heard from many places that the 404 was limited and wave form editing was the only way you could chop samples.

after i found this place i have discovered a new passion for making music. i don't find the 404 to be limited at all, in fact it suits me seeing as how my roots in making music is as a turntablist.

for a place that is basically dedicated to machines that most people see as complimentary equipment this forum is always very active. and for all the talk of the limitations of the SP i have found that the music here is at an overall higher standard than that over at the MPC-forums (no bias i swear ).

anyway i just wanted to say thanks to the people here because you have actually changed the way that i look at making music.
