I been doing those excercises for a minute, and generally following all the knowledge scooby's is sharing and I cant say a bad word about it.

If you ask about the equipment I can say 40 pounds of weights, 2 dumbells, pullup bar, jump rope and normal bicycle and you're set - dont need more for the beginner phase ( ~first 6 months )

Scooby is an awesome guy, I think he is hilarious and I really enjoy watching his clips...

I'm working out 5 days a week but since I already have couple years making the gym my bitch I work out following this routine:

Monday: Chest, Abs
Tuesday: Back
Wednesday: Delts, Traps, Abs
Thursday: Biceps, Triceps
Friday: Legs, Abs

3-4 different exercises for muscular groups... remember that pain is weakness leaving the body... NO EXCUSES don't miss a workout!

I have rhis little thing called Powerball which is supposed to make your hands stronger by spinning it. It's kinda fun too. I bought it to make my fingers and wrists more powerful for scratching/turntablism but then I noticed it radiates power so I just let it sit on a table near me.

I always take this Casein Protein at nights (since this is a slow-acting protein) that way even during sleep I'm taking some protein to help recover my muscle after workouts... but since I'm going to start a more hardcore routing this week then I decided to bring this to the office so I can take more protein during work hours... this is a slow-acting protein so it is better if you take it in periods when you know it is not easy to you to go get some protein food...
for other purposes you should take Whey Protein...
