A G.ood E.nough D.iploma won't cut it in any job worth having. You should consider college if you don't already attend, it's not necessary for success but it will help and if nothing else give you more knowledge of the world we live in.

I was bullshitin' too. I got a G.E.D too, but my life was school since my mother is a professor. Don't worry Soopa leaving highschool early usually has more to do with the environment of your school than a lack of intelligence. I love education but I refuse to conform to societies standards and highschool makes cogs for a machine not educated thinkers. Take life lightly or it'll wear you down at a young age.

i didn't mean the grandpa comment by any means, i personally dont think someone is old by their age, but by their state of mind and how they act

PackFM has a verse all about it on his album... the song is called "Lessons"

"[Verse 3]
High school - I dropped out of it
College - I tried it out a bit
I have no regrets, and actually, I'm quite proud of it
It ain't the only way to measure success or intelligence
Need evidence? Well, you can ask 8 US Presidents
Or make a film helmed by Tarantino or John Woo
Without Pacino, Robert De Niro and Tom Cruise
No diplomas, but they all got Oscars, you can't lose
I know most of you is wishin that you was in their shoes
Guess who dropped out too
Chris Rock and Cuba Gooding
Bill Cosby's GED is on the shelf next to the pudding
And not to mention Ray Charles, cuz that's walkin a fine line
But your degree comes from studyin' Shakespeare and Einstein
A whole lotta people made it that never graduated
That's why with education, I never been fascinated
Your lectures are overrated, so take a breath and save it
'Cuz it's real life that teaches you lessons that can't be graded..."

such a ill verse, and people said he could only battle and not make songs... smh lol

All exceptions aside, what are the odds of really becoming successful in life without "proper" education (whatever the heck that is off course :p )...?

Statistics show that people are usually better off the higher your level of education is. That's true for Bill Gates too by the way, don't forget that although he didn't finish Harvard and started his own company instead, he's an educated and quite intelligent man.

Obviously there are also plenty of millionaires that simply made a big decision at the right time and had (little to) no education at all, but usually those exceptions can be considered 'the lucky few'. ;)

The successful people all have one thing in common though, they all work their asses off and live for their jobs. They also are willing to take risks.
I think all that shows how important things like willpower and discipline are in real life. That's why not every superbrain will be successful and why people with less education (or intelligence for that matter) can still be very successful.

Obviously it's superfluous to state that the kind of education someone had has little to nothing directly to do with how smart someone is. I know plenty of people that only followed the lowest type of middle school and college here, but still are close to being geniuses.
