OK, I can't help you with getting it on the card (someone here will know that bit though)...but once it's there it's a doddle to get it off the card into the comp.

You need to get a card reader, if you haven't got one yet (new PCs have 'em built in). Once you put the card in the reader, you can opne it up like any other dir on the comp, by going to 'My Computer' and double-clicking on the right drive (It'l be called 'removable disk X:' ['X' could be any letter, depending on the amount of different drives in the PC]).

This will open up a window with your exported wav files.

Now, make a dir on the computer called 'mums records' or whatever, open it up (now you will have two windows open) and drag the files across from the removable disk to mums records...

I hope I'm being clear - this stuff is easy once you know how but hard to explain

if u want to record directly to 404, this could be nice. that way you break up the songs. a lot of those older albums have twelve or less tracks, so that could be conveniant, too.

just record to like c1, c2, c3, etc...
write down on a sheet of paper; c is aerosmith 'pump' (?)
then expot it by
1. hold down cancel and hit resample
2. "FiL" on display (record and resample blink)
3. press resample
4. "EXP" on display
5. hit c/g bank and it's selected

here it gets murky, just make sure all the c pads are blinking.
use an adapter, drag and drop those twelve songs into a folder and rename to song name.

just try with one or two pads at first, you'll get it.

thanks for the help everyone. I ran into a problem though, I tried to export shit from the SP404 to the card and it said "FUL". I guesse I have to delete old shit off the card- Do I have to delete shit thru the computer or can that be done on the sp404?

there's your problem; no shit in, no shit out!
seriously though why don't you just record straight on to card(c bank etc...) and and then export.

-or- you could just save that file on your computer just drag and drop as a back-up. then format the card. when you come back to that file on your pc it should be fine. caution 'do not rename anything' for the clarification purpose i always make an additional external folder.

just format the card to delete all samples at once.

why dont you go buy an adapter for fve bucks plug your rca cords into it and then insert them into the computer....
then click edit preferences on audacity....
the click recording options...then click whatever line in you chose....
thats how i put my records into mp3
and thats how i record my scratching...right into the cpu
