So I did a quick beat on it... Didn't sequence on it... I recoreded it live into cooledit so the timing is off in places...

It sounds really cool. I didn't notice any spots where the timing was off, definitely not in the beat. Is this all sampled from other music, or is it made with synth samples? Oh yeah, was that a sample of you using the 404's mic in there?

I like that beat, the sounds are nice. I would raise the level on the snare or get a nice rimshot sound to layer on top of the snare but other than that nice job mayne.

Thanks guys...
I don't have any synth I only used the SP mic and different records for the beat (and of course the sp it self...)
the cool thing about this machine is that you can make almost any sound out of any sound...
The main reason I didn't sequence this on the sp was the note polyphony... ran out pretty quick...
BTW how do you guys save your beats to your computer?
let's say you have all the sounds for your beat on padbank C. Is there a specific folder i need to transfer to my computer to be able to recall it later even if I've deleted the files on the sp?

All you have to do is open a song in audacity(free software) and then select the portion of the sample you want to load into your 303/404 and then go to edit and chose save selection as, then just make the format .WAV 16bit 44.1kHz and make a folder on your hard drive to organize all the samples into folders like drum sounds and instrumental sounds or soul samples and jazz samples and so on.Then you can load them on your cf card anytime you want.

I guess I was thinking more about how to save patterns/sequences... (where are they stored on the sp?
Could I just copy the whole SD card to my harddisk everytime i made a beat, and then just reload it to the sd card whenever i needed to work on the beat again?...

I'm making no sense - I know...
