This is a sneak peak off the solo album I plan on dropping some day :) Its probably my favorite of all my beats. Done 100% on the 404 and mastered outside as usual. www.myspace.com/djfrantic ... its called Ode to The Creator. Peash !

nice beat. sounds like an old mobb deep beat. could you drop knowledge on mastering? I noticed a lot of vinyl crackle but the sample still sounded very clear and clean.

how long have you been making beats? I checked the soundclick link and saw mad beats.

lol..thanks. Ive been making beats for 5 years. Mastering is a fairly simple process to me. Alot of people try to ove complicate it. I use 3 steps. I run it through a 3 band dj mixer type EQ Boost the highs and lows a little over 1db usually and cut the mid about .35db. The next step is compression. I usually set a slow attack and release, compression to about 3:1 most of the time and output gain to about 75%. Then I use a 5 band parametric EQ and just touch it up where it needs it.
