This is one of the songs I made today, just some chick corea chops over drums and a little upright bass action hidden inside.

is Suicidal Be Da Title the track?

the beat sounds really atmospheric, those hovering notes really create a good vibe. the way you've filtered them gives more the suggestion of them being there than actually present, really nice effect. the drums go really well with the sample too

is that a Gravediggaz accapella?

Definitely a Grave Diggaz a capella. Thanks I eq the bass drum to a lower frequency because it was distorting a little originally, then I put some compression on the final mix.

Thanks, I switched up the style and went with some chops on the piano sample. This site really helps me hone my style, so many good producers to keep up with.

Well, I'm a little partial to the trunk rattle since I rep the BAY, I think my next beat that I post should have a harder kick to it though, more direct and less atmospheric.

No, it's just an old drum machine snare.

Thanks, I'm by no means skilled at mastering a stereo track after its done, which is what I tried to do after I finished the beat and wanted to add an acapella and plus the strong bass of the kick was distorting so I put some eq on it to cut the higher frequencies of the drum around 80-100hz and then boosted it from 50-75hz so it was heard less and felt more. It was all just an experiment though I usually just let the sounds stay raw after I mix them in my 303 but I didn't want it to distort so I had to wake my game up and try to figure out how people master stereo tracks.

Thanks, I try and have another up A.S.A.P, I've been slow recently 'cause I'm tryin' to learn how to master and do more post production, I still haven't found a way that I like multi-tracking in any of my programs, I really need a br-600 or something but alas I'm broke as always.
