i enjoyed this joint... love how it faded in and out.. the drums were pretty dope too.

Yo Dr. I understand, I hate coldplay... but at the same time brutha, look at all the completely SHIT records people sample from. It's not who you sample, but what you create out of the samples. Take crap and turn it into gold.

I got a big problem with people sampling tracks that are already a hit and turning it into their own joint... unless of course you are remixing and labeling it as so. So is sampling coldplay wrong? Eh, I wouldnt do it. Only because I try and look for one hit wonders and obscure records. But other than that, I don't really see a problem with it if you are making music for a hobby and not a jobby.

I'd suggest taking a closer look at Coldplay. The band is definitely not my favorite, probably falls in the 'hate' category as well as they seem to make one song, change it a bit and call it an album :P , but there is actually material in there that I could or would sample.

not that i even know what song it is from, and its totally preference, i just find it a weird choice to choose cold play to sample into a beat, but i guess you could just consider me a snobby crate digger for just samplin old records anyway, and its really more of the fact of how modern it is, not just cause its a hit, although, to me, that wouldn't help

......i swear i'm not a snob though :P

Lol, that reminds me... we should keep a battle with a movie theme someday, like the old Knight Rider or so.

Yeah, it was successfully sampled before by others (forgot his name), but I'd like to see what people here come up with.

knight rider has been sampled many times actually... only one that comes to mind is "fire it up" by busta rhymes though.. but I know that its been done a few times.

Good idea though, i def am feelin the movie/tv soundtrack idea.
