Again not sure why you make everything about you or why you take out your angst on the forum.

Either way back to compressors...

(I'm putting random links for this particular band here, but since we have 7 records, YouTube gonna put other links so you can see for yourself.
Google discography. That's one. Now, since I'm on the move atm and can't type - you can easily check the other bands :

Teski Zulum, Zerkman Big Bang, and say Samostalni Referenti.

Those are MY bands, where I play/played.

NOW LET'S SEE YOUR DICK BITCH.

um you live in Serbia dude? this is you?

"The band, consisting Nektarijević (vocals), Rastko Lupulović (guitar), Vladislav Rac (bass guitar) Stevan Dimitrijević (drums), was formed in 1991. They were soon joined by Marko Petronijević (trumpet). Having performed for two years, and winning the Palilula Culture Olympics, the band went on hiatus as vocalist Nektarijević went to the United States of America."

you are Vladislav Rac?

this music is fucking trash anyway. alternative, easy listening garbage.

funny you think i'd be impressed or something

the mixing/mastering sounds exactly the same as every alt band i've ever heard on the radio

what are you doing on this forum if you play bass in a rock n roll band? this forum is for hip hop dude, sample based music.

Wanna know why you're wrong, Zendan?
You said that one should record the sound at the level where it's gonna be in the final mix - UTTER BULLSHIT, AND IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.

NOBODY IN HIS RIGHT MIND USES THE COMPRESSION FOR DYNAMICS THE WAY YOU EXPLAINED, TO MAKE THE INSTRUMENTS SIT GOOD IN THE MIX.

If you wanna do that, you cut the unessesary frequencies of the said instruments. Place them in their designated spectrum. Good producers use compression as least as possible, but you wouldn't know that, because you're a dick suckin junkie

Yeah that's me (Branislav), and I don't give a rats ass what you think, we still fill up the venues. Tastes differ, and that was not the issue here.

Check the other videos for viewings, I put the random ones, first I could spot. Oh, and do call me when you hit the mark of 700+ concerts. Numbnuts.

dude, i don't know what you're getting at, but just go back out into the production techniques section and read my thread on compression. i wrote this description with no references in front of me, just off the top of my head. if you want to act like i'm wrong, still, cool man. you're an idiot. sorry!

why wouldn't you just record them at the volume you want them to be at in the finished product???
a compressor isn't for evening out the volume levels; it's about dynamics, the way the sounds of each instrument affect each other.

First off, you can NEVER know at what level your instrument is going to 'sit' in the final mix, too many variables, and it's a general rule of thumb to record as loud as possible (to get the best signal to noise ratio) with all the frequency recorded, because it's better to take down those you don't need, then to boost something that wasn't even recorded in the first place.
Also by boosting frequency, you add hiss and possibly phase shift (if you're using mics without managing the distance between them and the sound source

Compression IS NOT about dynamics, compression is KILLING dynamics (that is, if you're not using it properly, have a poor compressor, or don't have a clue about what it does, and you just crank the knobs hoping miracle will happen) because it evens out the signals.

http://www.ovnilab.com/articles/killedmytone.shtml

https://www.musicradar.com/tuition/tech ... ion-574533

Definition of compression :
"Dynamic range compression (DRC) or simply compression is an audio signal processing operation that reduces the volume of loud sounds or amplifies quiet sounds thus reducing or compressing an audio signal's dynamic range."

REDUCING AN AUDIO SIGNAL'S DYNAMIC RANGE. Get it?

Once again you prove you have no idea what you're talking about, but still somehow think you know best.

I didn't read all the arguing, I stopped at the above comment...LoopmantrA....what I don't get is you agreed with Zendan...........I get you don't like him, but it's just confusing when you agree with him, but say he doesn't know what he's talking about in the same sentence. I see there is arguing above me, so apparently it turned in to another battle....over nothing...... Fuckin crazy.
