whats up guys. ive been reading the 404sx manual and couldn't gather an answer to my problem, so i'm hoping someone here can help me out.
in my live set, say i have a beat already playing on pad 1 (on loop). as a transition, i like to play part of the next beat on pad 2 (on gate+loop) simultaneously before taking the gate function off and stopping pad 1. the problem is that when i press pad 1 to stop it, it becomes the current pad even though pad 2 is the one playing, meaning effects i use are being applied to pad 1 and the only way to apply them to pad 2 is to press it again, which restarts the beat. is there a way around this, or in other words, can i switch the current pad without changing which one is currently playing audio?

hopefully that made sense lol

The remain button is your friend. Use it to check & change which pads have effects applied... this can be done on the fly without causing pads to stop playing. Hope this helps.
