I think that would be a fairly shit thing to listen to........making a beat I can have the same loop playing round and round for ages while I make intricate changes to it.....anyone listening to it would probably lose the plot after about 5 minutes....

like those Rhythm Roulettes are heavily edited to save the viewer from going through that shit....

I mean it's dope to flip a freestyle microwave beat in a few mins time.
But I don't see nothing wrong with giving some time to let things marinade a bit.
The God KeV Brown rapped in one of his songs: " sometimes it takes months to make three minutes of music."

There's nothing wrong with putting something aside and then coming back to it later.

But I agree, is good to just punch stuff of quick and make it on the Fly. It keeps the Spirit alive.

On that note, tomorrow afternoon I'm uploading a little EP to my Bandcamp. It's basically about four or five loops with some interludes and stuff in between that I made in the matter of a night before going back to work.
.Stay tuned...

I think for really simple boom bap - a sample or 2 over a drumbeat, a few change ups, 2min songs - it's *possible*....but in theory you'd still need all the samples/parts ready to go in the sampler, and be happy with really simple production.

I think a tape in a week/month would be reasonable, if you set aside the time to do it right. Some people love quick wonky lofi beats, others want to hear syncopation/layering/changeups that require a lot more production.
