SP404sx + ipod or the Nintendo/Korg DS-10 synth.

I used to own a Nintendo DS and Korg DS-10. Now they have a version of the DS-10 for the iPad and the iPhone.

There's a Mystery Bingo game inside the app that reveals some easter eggs, which isn't on the DS-10 version.

But anyway, wait for iDS10 to go on sale and check out Gadget 2.5 which was just released and is 50% off at the moment. Gadget is fuckin' bananas! I've been on it for a minute and the upgrades keep getting better. Hold off on iDS-10 and grab Gadget while it 's on sale.

I usually rock double SP's (303 & 404 OG) but I've been adding in my MPC 2000 lately for tighter sequencing and it's doing pretty well.

I copped an AKAI S900 last night so I'll probably do all the sampling on that now before resampling into one of my SPs to get some 12 bit crunch on everything

Korg Gadget has some serious synths. I copped a Korg nanoKey studio awhile back as a controller. The sequencer is also pretty decent. It feels like a mix of ableton and a mpc. Here is the first track I put together with it and blown on some wifi a bit ago. YKHWD.

YouTube, just loads of material there. But I have my mc 909 which I am discovering has awesome sounds in it that you have to dig in there and find. Plus the electribe 2 and Kaosilator pro.

But YouTube takes the cake, soooo much material.

I've got a Kaoss Pad 3 and really love it. Totally broadens the range of possibilities and it's always nice to have another set of effects to experiments with. Plus you can combine effects of the SP and the KP as opposed to having only one at a time with the 404. Also had a KP Mini 2, but sold it and switched to the KP3 a week later, cause I somehow received some extra bucks back then. If you're just looking for some effects to spice up your samples the Mini is totally alright and its super handy. Maybe you might want go to a store and try it with the SP to get an idea on how you could utilize it.

Hi Rhua!

What is the difference between Korg mini kp and Korg mini kp2? I found a mini kp for US$60.

I do the 808 and 404 together, they fit so well together with the 808 pitch changing and much better sample editing than the 404, and I just record it to the 404 and add the drums and I have my beat right there.

The Akai MPX16.
I think this could be what I've been looking for, to pair with the SP 505. It has what you would expect from an Akai controller, but with the ability to sample, up to 64voice polyphony and the major selling point for me; MUTE GROUPS!
With how I work, the MPX-16 would make the MPD/MS-1 redundant.
Anybody wanna buy an MS-1 and MPD26?
Baked and GASing for an MPX16

I reckon an MPX16 and SP404 live setup, would be killer.

I looked into this the Akai mpx16 is plagued with timing problems and super long load times. I really wanted it to go with my Electribe2 but alas it looks good but is a lemon sadly
