I bought a podHD500 last year and although it took a few days of remorse/paranoia I eventually got completely bound to it. You have to know a little about sound design and mixing to get a good result, especially if you want a good guitar tone, and of course RTFM, but theres some fun stuff for live beats in these things. (and to be fair some not-so-good things, the EQ's and compressors are forgettable, idk how thats possible)

The only reason I didn't jump on this type of stuff any sooner was because I didn't know you could opt out of the amp simulation, and I didn't have a non-guitar amp loudspeaker. I run guitar/beats through a keyboard amp now, so I can color it myself and so you can hear the beats without sounding like a tobacco wannabe all the time.

Right now my setup is to center the panning of the two channels and use one as the guitar/keyboard processing and one to douse the SP and then a lil post effects on both.

I know korg has some crazy shit too which seems way better in the tweaking department. Super curious what other people's experience is like
