Sharing the news with the folks that are looking for a first/new/different DAW program. Pro Tools | First. It's not a demo version or anything but a new software designed to lure us into the Avid web.

If you're smart, you can get plenty of great use out of this program. If anything else, it's a free way to get some quality DAW experience. I haven't used PT since 2009 but this looks dope.

Anyway - link:
http://apps.avid.com/ProToolsFirst/

Sheck it out.

Hmm personally I'm not going near avid= Pay for plugins. no free vst support...Eq 3 is more basic than your sp equalizer. This is like all those apps that are 'free to play'

If you are curious about pro tools definitely download it.
Mix like da PR0zzz y0
The 12 recording tracks could be a good multitracker for your SP ..

I understand your stance on Avid. I haven't used PT in years and am more than happy on Logic. I gotta say that this program is cool if used as a tape deck kinda... recording linear audio. Not fancy on cloud storage though and this new DAW platform is sketchy at best.

I have never purchased a plugin before but I am considering the TAL-U-NO-LX (for $60 it looks like it is golden). I was mostly posting this up for those that are interested in trying out a DAW for the first time or for those that were looking for another free DAW.

The concerns are legit though no doubt!
(and I end up using my SPs EQ on my drum bus all the time now lolz)

A few years ago i decided to go legit and buy all the software i use. Mainly because i want to support all the little guys who make awesome software and TAL-U-NO-LX is one of my purchases. I recommend.
