i thought it could be an issue with the SD card i was using. switched back to the original and i am still having the same issue. when a pattern loops back to the start there is a slight delay- particularly noticeable at higher tempos.

is this a standard issue or a problem with my sp/card? :| :| :|

Hi,
Sorry about that. I have never experienced it. Just thinking out loud: Could it be a firmware thing? Can you upgrade/downgrade the firmware in some way. Reformat the cards? Or start with a fresh card.

Has it something to do with the samples? If you make a pattern with totally different samples, does the problem remain? Does the problem appear on a certain bank?

is there still a delay when you quantize everything?

i sometimes get a delay or an off loop in the pattern sequencer but its usually my timing thats the issue

try quantizing a kick and snare combo in the pattern sequencer and see if it loops on beat.

yes .. its a difficult thing to master .. used to make some solid tracks using the sequencer .. infact .. might give it a bang soon

it is a learning curve .. you have to ignore the 1 (by the 1 i mean point zero in the loop ..

its like you have to overlap the zero point to get what youre trynna achieve

best bet is start dropping the hot fire on the 2 instead

hope this helped

Hmm. I don't really see the gap as something to master, there shouldn't be one. A hard quantized housebeat like Noddy suggests should be good for troubleshooting. Four-to-the-floor kickdrum and closed hihat on 16ths.

.. fair play .. in my opinion and experience .. working with chopping records nd playing them fluid in pattern sequence can be troublesome

in my experience it just means the pattern is fucked up haha, you just gotta record it again, particularly with the last chop of your sample make sure you hold it until it finishes the loop, sometimes that causes the delay.
