I have layers of a song in 8 or 10 different pads on my 404. Loops exported from pc, they all have the same exact time length so they will loop in sync.

The thing is even if I could press all the pads at the same time, even the smallest difference in triggering time would mean that it would gradually fall out of sync if I looped them for a long time.

Maybe doing some kind of quantize in pattern mode?

Anyone went through this already? How did you manage you way around?

What if you make a pattern, turn on quantize, put all the samples you want to play on the 1, hit play on the pattern, and then immediately hit cancel to stop the pattern?

Do the notes continue to loop as triggered?

You mean putting everything in one pad? I wanted them all on separate pads so I could assign FX separately.

Thing is I was going to put very long samples in (like 20+ minutes) and they start to fall out of sync at some point if I don't trigger them perfectly at the same time, which is basically impossible to do by hand :(

He is saying to use the sequencer, I think. Trigger all your individual pads on the one using the sequencer then apply effects as it is playing. You can select a pad and tweak while everything is playing.

Yes, you can still treat all samples/pads differently even if you put them all into a pattern. Either set the Pattern BPM to exactly the same as the samples (from DAW), and use gate mode, or set the pattern length to 99bars and just start all samples on one in loop mode.

Pads on loop mode in the sequencer might not work, since the pads will shut themselves off on the second round.

8-10 pads playing at the same means you need most sounds to be mono.
