When you finisched a beat, (i suppose you rec the beats into a software) what do you do to edit the track?

my curiosities are about what software do you use for rec, edit beats and what do you do.

I use the mastering capabilities of the SP-606 itself and record into a software program called Rifftworks 2 Line6 edition. It's a program based on loops and 32 tracks, but when I record beats I usually set measures to something insanely long and record in one go.

I record all my tracks back from cassette onto the cf card as a huge sample, then export and transfer with my card reader. Then I have the finished track, I don't do any post production shit. Keepin' it raw.

I record with Cubase 4 and throw a limiter on the master bus to get it as loud as it needs to be

if I'm tracking an MPC or synth or tracking vocals, I do a bunch of things to each track to make for a better mix

I record into Reaper, then usually go for a multiband compressor and limiter on the master channel. That's if i feel like it's finished.
Some of the stuff i do you just can't get with the 404 so I take the audio then seriously fuck it up in Reaper via loads of VST stuff.

record into tascam 8 track... sometimes track shit out a bit to isolate for EQ (ie., drums x 2, bass x 2, hi end x 2, vocal chops x 2) then create master track and export that in wav format. only use the computer to burn tracks to cd or make mp3's.
