try usb. i use sound forge and thats how i get a signal in.

try this go to www.asio4all.com and download the drivers. after u do this go to www.rolandus.com and u have to get the drivers from their site if u havent already.

after completion hook your sp in via usb it should take u through the stages. there will be file that starts with RD that needs to be accessed so save the 606 driver file to your desktop. then once thats done

open soundforge and it may or may not say something about your soundcard change. go to the audio section through prefences and youll see your options. if u open that box the roland sp-606 should be listed.

note... when u go to record u have to go to the sp menu in #4 and turn output source to mix!! or u wont get any sound.

only thing i havent tried is midi triggers/controllers with this software. but everything else should work just fine
