i tryed lookin for the answer to this on da forums and parts of it were answered but not all so here goes. if u save patterns on da cf card of the sp's can u then take da pattern files directly from a card reader into a editor (audacity) n put them in da order u want or is there more to this process i'm missin? (conversion of file types?)

can't do that with patterns. unless there's a workaround. samples only.

-edit-

don't know about 606 or 808.

the 606 isnt capable of exporting patterns. it would be pretty dope though. interfaces are the best way to go. but if u dont have that but u have software like Soundforge u can record via usb by switching the audio source in the preference menu. its a pretty raw alternative and works pretty good after a few times. cool edit would probably do the same thing.
